Property tax abatements allow owners to pay taxes on the pre-improvement value of their property for 10 years. They are available for any increased valuation that results from improvements to the property. Tax abatements stay with the property and transfer to any new property owner within the approved time period. Urban Modern will often apply for a tax abatement as soon as all of the permits are closed on our project. The abatement provides 10 years of tax savings for buyers of Urban Modern homes.
